2007 Steps Annual Report

This Annual Report details our brief history, our current challenges and our future direction.  It takes a narrative to deconstruct a narative, and we have certainly got a narrative that needs deconstructing. As a result, the Steps Annual Report for 2007 is probably more lengthy than some would expect.

In defense of it’s length, it would be useful to consider that the Governor’s story about what’s happening on the Coast is not working for us.  If we are to succeed on our terms, then we are going to have to change the story.  In other words, our task is not just to identify the “dots,” but to connect them in a differnt way.  While it may be possible to write a report about the"dots" in bullet points, if we are going to connect them differently, it’s going to take many more words.

I hope you will find this report a very practical description of what we have been up to this year with practical implications for our next steps. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
