The Gulf Islands Conservancy , Inc. is dedicated to the preservation and protection of the barrier islands and coastal wetlands of Mississippi. The GIC is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that encourages public use of our marine resources balanced with the need to protect the Gulf Coast’s fragile estuarine system. The diverse membership provides a service as a friends group to the Gulf Islands National Seashore through volunteer programs, public education projects, and environmental advocacy efforts.
