Profile
The purpose of Living Independence For Everyone is to empower people with significant disabilities to be as independent and as fully involved in their communities as they can and want to be. The primary goal of LIFE is to assist in the independent living empowerment of people with significant disabilities by:
• Providing or coordinating the provision of devices, equipment, aids, modifications, or other services or forms of support that improve their capacity to live independently.
• Supplying information and referral services to allow sufficient access and utilization of available assistance.
• Furnishing peer counseling and guidance, encourage, establish, and maintain independent living attitudes and philosophies.
• Rendering advocacy support on and individual or systems-wide basis.
• Providing skills training instruction to improve specific independent living abilities and competencies.
• Contributing any other help that aids people with significant disabilities in acquiring, retaining, or enhancing their capacity to live independently
