This Tuesday July 29th at 5:30 p.m. residents of North Gulfport will meet with officials from the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) to express concerns around the Inland Port facility that will be constructed in their neighborhood. This gathering will be held at the Isiah Fredericks Community Center in North Gulfport.

This facility will be built within 100 feet of their homes and will require the filling of 70 acres of wetlands. Residents from this community as well as environmental advocates have expressed regular and intense concern about this project that they say will bring diesel exhaust, heavy equipment and 24-hour floodlights into their neighborhood.
