Event Details

The Steps Coalition invites all of today’s young leaders from across the Gulf Coast to gather together, learn about each other’s work, and to hear each others stories.  This meeting takes place on Thursday, February 4 6:00-8:30pm at the Church of the Redeemer, DeMiller Hall 610 Water Street in Biloxi, MS.
Young people--this is a chance to have a conversation about power, where it lies, and how to exercise it and change the issues that you care about.

Allies/advocates--this is an opportunity to LISTEN and learn about what youth on the Coast are interested in, and where your programs are in line with that interest.

Event Agenda

Our facilitators will include trainers from the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond out of New Orleans www.pisab.org and from the Highlander Research and Education Center in Tennessee www.highlandercenter.org.  Please invite and bring any young people willing to listen, and then share their ideas for improving their communities.  A pizza dinner will be served starting at 5:30pm with the meeting immediately following.
