Windpool Funds Face Possible Ax

Lawmakers are still grappling over how to deal with the multi-million dollar decrease in state revenue since last year. Pascagoula Representative Brandon Jones (D) says the $20 million lawmakers thought was headed for for windpool insurance may hang in the balance. "The House and the Senate overwhelmingly passed $20 million that would be used for windpool," said Jones. "Reinsurance, right here on the Gulf Coast. What we've been told in the last week is that the Senate no longer has room for that in their budget."
